Nepali Youth Disappears in Australia for 16 Years

A Nepali citizen named Wilson Bista has been missing in Australia for a duration of 16 years. His last sighting was when he left his residence in Elizabeth Bay, Sydney on August 24, 2007. According to those close to Bista, in the weeks leading up to his disappearance, he resigned from his job and began displaying erratic behavior. During that period, he was under a special visa arrangement.

The New South Wales police are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed him or can provide assistance in determining Mr. Bista’s whereabouts to come forward. They can also contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000. There is significant concern about Bista’s safety.


Wilson was 24 years old at the time of his disappearance and would now be 40 years old. He has a slender build, black hair, brown eyes, and an olive complexion.
